‘Margot’ is a short puppet film about a French cabaret performer. Slowly, we begin to understand and feel the pressure that has been building up and crushing Margot. The music darkens and the film ends with her collapse.
This project was inspired by traditional Cabaret performance and devised based on the exploration of movement in puppet figures. As a designer and maker, I’m especially interested in how I can breathe life and feeling into inanimate objects. Bringing the inanimate to life is at the core of my practice. ‘Margot’ has been the perfect opportunity for me to combine my passion for design and theatre.
